ISS technology deployed at the secure Federal Training Facility

Washington DC Area, 21 April 2006 - Utilizing the newly introduced ISS SecurOS video server platform in its first North American deployment, ISS distribution partner securityBOX, integrator VisonTec innovations and TKC Communications have implemented the system at one of the newest Federal Training Facilities, located in the Washington DC area.  In its entirety the system is nearly 100 cameras, powered by 4 servers, remote storage capabilities at a separate secure facility, and integration of third party systems and intelligent features.  The system allows multiple hierarchical levels of administrators and security personnel to manage the system and deploy personnel or resources in case of security needs.

First Priority: Perimeter Security

Due to its need to maintain a low profile presence, the facility needed 24 hour protection of its perimeter.  This was dually difficult due to its somewhat congested surroundings and the need for multiple vehicular and pedestrian entrances.  For this reason, a variety of ISS based technologies were deployed and specific user rights management and scenario editing (using scripting) were necessary.  Some of the technologies deployed include:

• License Plate Recognition
• Iris Recognition
• Integration with traffic gate systems
• Integration with access control
• Remote management and archival of video data
