PRAVEX Bank of Ukraine deploys ISS Technology

Kiev, Ukraine, 3 September 2007 –  One of Ukraine’s largest banks, with 400 branches and 1200 ATMs and exchange centers throughout the country, PRAVEX BANK has installed ISS technology at multiple locations throughout its network. Currently in its initial phase, ISS SecurOS servers have been deployed at 70 locations commanding over 300 cameras.

The bank’s development strategy is centered on creating a unified security and information infrastructure with centralized command and control for all of the bank’s branches. This has been determined to be a critical priority. Dr. Nabil Akrout, CEO of ISS, stated, “We are pleased to add PRAVEX to our growing list of banking and financial services customers. The scalable architecture of our systems is a perfect compliment to the critical security needs of a banking institution”. The deployment at PRAVEX incorporates:

  • On-line interactive video control of all branches, the ATM network, and exchange centers
  • Remote and local archive administration
  • Secure data exchange between networked servers
  • Integration of corporate telecommunications (telephony, videoconferences).
  • Advanced user rights management with multiple group and user accounts with distributed permissions.
  • Scalable and distributed architecture for future upgrades to existing topography and addition of new networked locations
  • Capability to integrate access control and fire systems as phase 2 of integration.

Using the ISS system has achieved immediate results in managing the bank’s primary objective of using video surveillance as the centerpiece for supervision of loss prevention and management of liabilities. Centralizing the security infrastructure, as can be noted by the need for access control and life safety integration in the second phase of the installation, further reflects a catalyst for PRAVEX’s choice of the ISS system. Additionally, the bank management and the security and IT departments are utilizing the system beyond the standard security scope. Statistic data gathering, analysis, warehousing of the video and ATM data is being used to optimize business process. Additionally the system is being utilized as a redundant means to manage and enforce corporate protocols for staff and service control.
