Second Largest Port in Brazil integrates SecurOS Cargo
Itajaí, Santa Catarina, Brazil, April 1, 2008 - The largest port in the state of Santa Catarina, and the second largest in Brazil, Terminal Portuário de Itajaí (Terminals Itazém and Teporti) is a major transport hub for the import / export industry. ISS SecurOS™ with Container and License Plate Recognition is the central framework for the site’s centralized security architecture. Client and administrative workstations allow personnel with various levels of privileges to monitor and maintain the system. Integration of the container and license plate recognitions system with legacy security management databases allow for complete interoperability. Fifty six (56) video channels are integrated with 11 channels of Container Recognition and 6 channels of License Plate Recognition.
The extensibility of the system and integration with existing IP networks allows the SecurOS™ based surveillance framework to grow and meet new security requirements over time. This additive nature of the system generates significant long term return on investment of capital costs. Key points of value on the project include:
- Integrated Camera and DVS platform with intelligent video analytics into one unified security topography.
- Multiple security points managed by one central station with centralized command and control of all security systems.
- Highly extensible and scalable system.
- Integration with Port Management software for Container/Truck control.
Logistics and Integration for the project were handled by Speed Sistemas.
