ISS SecurOS Deployed on Major Pipeline in Eastern Europe

St. Petersburg, Russia, December 1, 2008 - The ISS SecurOS Video Management and Analytics framework is now installed at the Kstovo-Yaroslavl-Kirishi-Primorsk (Sever) pipeline, one of the most critical oil and diesel distribution links for Eastern Europe and the Baltic region. ISS servers are located at pump station facilities to secure against possible intruder assaultive acts or any kind of diversion; theft or damage of equipment; control over technological process – all these have to guarantee safe maintenance from economic, ecological and commercial standpoints.

A Video Management solution by ISS has been integrated at the primary pump stations. This ISS SecurOS deployment was implemented for at vehicle check points, ground storage, filling stations, tank fields and post controls. SecurOS (as an integration platform) and SecurOS Auto (intelligent plate recognition module) - are the main components of this System.

A range of outdoor and indoor cameras was installed. Centralized storage with archived data is located at the Security Centre where remote video monitoring and management is reviewed 24/7. Security officers receive automatic reports (video image of car license plate number and information of date and time) for every vehicle that approaches the check point.
