ISS announces integration with Pelco IP Based Cameras

Pelco IP Line Integration
Pelco Sarix and Spectra IP lines

Woodbridge, New Jersey, July 29, 2009 – Two industry leading technologies, the ISS SecurOS and videoINSPECTOR lines, and the latest Pelco IP camera systems, are now integrated to work seamlessly within the same security network. ISS video server and video management software are able to record and transmit video (to client software) using native Pelco codecs and IPP (Intel Integrated Performance Primitives) libraries for decompression. Additionally, PTZ functions of the Pelco Spectra® IV (internal PTZ protocol) is integrated utilizing SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol).

The Pelco IP line offers premium features as expected from Pelco products. The IP3701 Series Color Network Cameras is a reliable and affordable line of cameras with support of PoE. The Spectra® IV IP dome systems build on the Pelco reputation as a global leader in speed dome solutions, with the introduction of this IP PTZ solution. The Sarix™ Mega Performance Series with standard and megapixel resolution available are the flagship of the Pelco IP camera line. “A critical component in the framework of some of our most advanced projects, including safe city installations, the integration of the Pelco IP camera systems is essential to our deployment partners when they require best-of-breed technology for mission critical solutions,” Aluisio Figueiredo, Director of Operations at ISS stated.

The ISS videoINSPECTOR and SecurOS lines are ideal to take advantage of the new Pelco technologies. As a leading developer of video management and video analytics solutions, ISS servers offer a valuable solution to integrate existing legacy analog camera deployments with newer IP camera needs. Analog, IP, and megapixel cameras are managed by ISS servers with minimal configuration, allowing for a simple-to-use but robust and scalable platform that meets the needs of a current project as well as offering extensibility for long-term growth.
