Intelligent Security Systems Appoints Wolfgang Ritter as Director of Sales and Marketing
Video Security Technology Leader Poised for Market Expansion in 2010
Woodbridge NJ—February 10, 2010—Intelligent Security Systems (ISS), a leader in video security technology, announced today that it has appointed Wolfgang Ritter as Director of Sales and Marketing for the company. Ritter is a security industry veteran who has had many years of success with diverse international markets. As ISS prepares for its busiest year ever, with market penetration planned for several new countries as well as further expansion into established world markets, Ritter’s expertise and leadership skills will be an indispensable part of the company’s continued forward movement.
Prior to ISS, Ritter was the Director of Sales for North and South America for Mobotix, a German IP video surveillance camera company, and led sales campaigns that substantially opened up territories from Montreal to Buenos Aires. He also held key sales and marketing positions at Philips and is a veteran of German military law enforcement.
“We are very pleased to have Wolfgang on board at such a crucial juncture in our company’s history,” said Aluisio Figueiredo, Chief Operating Officer of ISS. “This comes at a time when the call for our comprehensive, on-demand security solutions has never been greater. As we respond to these market needs and further extend our company’s reach into North and South America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, Wolfgang’s dynamic skills building and expanding international sales teams will be called on again and again.”
ISS has become known in the industry as a company that is a one-stop shop for a very wide variety of security needs, including face capture and recognition, license plate recognition, container recognition, ATM security, Point of Sale (POS) security and shrinkage detection, traffic monitoring, object tracking, intrusion detection, and transit carriage recognition. Unlike most other security companies, all such technology is developed in-house at ISS, which has the two-fold advantage of offering superior technology at much lower cost points. Access control, fire and life safety systems, and building automation are integrated through the open architecture system of ISS. In addition, the company’s unique capabilities with advanced algorithms give them a substantial edge over competitors in the area of image analytics, which is a crucial advantage in this high security age.
ISS recently participated in the Intersec security showcase in Dubai and was extremely well received, and also took part in the Security and Safety Technologies Forum in Moscow from February 2nd to February 5th of this year. In addition, ISS will be participating in ISC West in Las Vegas from March 24th to 26th (booth 18077), and in Exposec in Sao Paulo from May 25th to May 27th. At ISC West, the company will be announcing a major new product advancement.
